The public local traffic in Frankfurt and surroundings is well developed and includes a wide transportation network. You can reach places very easily and quickly. When you have arrived in Frankfurt you can get almost everywhere with the public transport. On daytime you will find Underground (U-Bahn), Tram (Straßenbahn), suburban trains (S-Bahn), regional trains and busses in the city. After the operating hours of the normal lines there will be the night bus (Nachtbus). Operating in Frankfurt every night, in the region only in the nights before Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Almost all lines start from Konstablerwache in the city center. Depending on your line it runs every 15, 30 or 60 minutes.

Every Student of one of the Universities gets a ticket for the public transportation in the beginning of the semester.
Your Goethe-Card is also your student ticket. With it you can use the public transport easily in Frankfurt & in the RMV-Network. (Fare zones: RMV, NVV, VGWS and the VRN RMV cohesion region. So you can travel around Frankfurt and an area about 40 km around the city without inform yourself if your ticet is valid as long as you don`t use long distance trains. If you step in an underground, suburban train, tram or bus in Frankfurt you can show your student card as a ticket.
